The Ibero-American Journal of Law, Culture and Environment was conceived with the purpose of creating a space for study, research, training and debate within a framework of respect for the different academic, legal and scientific voices that complement and enrich it, in order to tend to the formation of a critical spirit, contribute to the development of law through the exchange of ideas, and dissemination of various currents of thought.
At the close of this first edition, we proudly contemplate the large and varied turnout that it has had and we can only thank those who accompanied us, made it possible and felt it was their own, that is the spirit in short.
Gratitude is a value that must be practised, which is why we dedicate this first issue to two important referents and honorary members of AIDCA, Drs. Mario F. Valls and Ramón Ojeda Mestre, who actively accompanied us from the beginning of the Association. Both traced a path of study, passion and originality without equal, which has made their names and work transcend borders and illustrate the path of future generations. Today they are not on this earthly plane, but without a doubt they occupy a privileged place in the firmament of the great masters. For those of us who have had the honor of knowing them, we can affirm that the legacy they have left us, their generosity and greatness, will be a beacon that will light the way for those of us who humbly follow them.
